According to sources, Movidius an AI company currently being acquired by Intel, is providing them chips that will help VR headset to track motion and make it aware for its position in real world. The best part of this VR headset is that it will not require a computer or phone to power it, according to sources who claims that the headset is being developed is different from the company’s Daydream VR platform.

Earlier today, The Drum reported on a potential device with wireless virtual reality that passed through FCC’s approval process. But we are unsure that whether the FCC approved device is related to currently working headset plans or will be apparently for internal and partner testing.

Still its unclear that what the VR headset by Google will be like, there are two companies that currently working to get to same goals. The headset from Microsoft known as HoloLens headset and Magic leaps are working on similar technology.

As far as Magic Leaps is concerned, it proposed its technology as “mixed reality.” It claims to create a better illusion of depth as compared to HoloLens by creating a digital light-field signal. All three devices have same goals of bringing augmented reality into their VR headset.
