Pixel Launcher Is Finally Added To Pixel C with Android 7.1.2 beta 2: Pixel has managed to hold its position as the Google’s Ace Android tablet even after a year of its launch. But, honestly, Pixel C disappointed a lot of users. It lacked several features that you expect with the Pixel brand. Who would have thought that Pixel C would not even have Pixel Launcher? Eventually, Google too seems to have identified that and decided to rectify it with the latest. You will now be able to enjoy Pixel Launcher along with the Pixel-style nav buttons in your Pixel C.
Pixel Launcher Is Finally Added To Pixel C with Android 7.1.2 beta 2
If you are used to the Pixel Launcher on your mobile, you would find it a bit different here. You can swipe up to access the app drawer in the new Android 7.1.2 beta 2. Also, the folders get modified to porthole-style. We believe that the image shows the real Pixel Launcher and not fake because of the overall settings. We expect that the update will be soon available on Google Play.
The new update also brings filled-in Pixel-style navigation buttons on your Pixel C tablet. However, the home button is represented by a simple circle, unlike Pixel phones where you have a bullseye. It makes sense because Pixel C tablets do not have the luxury of Google Assistant that you can launch with the Home button. There is no change in the buttons. Google has tried its best to give it a Pixel theme with a few color tweaks.
There is something very unique and interesting as you can see in the image. Yes, the all-new multitasking UI. We have not seen anything like that in any tablet yet. Now, we can just wait anxiously for the Android 7.1.2 beta 2 to be available soon.
Android 7.1.2 beta 2 update released for Pixel and Nexus devices
A couple of months ago, we witnessed the official release of the first update on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. Android 7.1.2 beta version aimed to fix a few bugs in the earlier version. We now have the second update on it as Android 7.1.2 beta 2. As expected, the update has been first released for the Google devices including Pixel and Nexus. Thankfully, there was no delay this around unlike the release of Android 7.1.2 beta update.
Pixel C has been probably most benefitted by this update. The software buttons get a new look with the all-white version. The color scheme also receives a makeover to offer gray/blue look. The Pixel Launcher has been the most noticeable change that replaces the existing Google Now Launcher. Another significant change has been the introduction of the multitasking menu. This unique feature will help you utilize the large screen of your Pixel C tablet. However, there is still some work needs to be done as it can just hold 8 apps at a time. Also, you cannot swipe away the apps if you want.
