The Samsung Galaxy S8+ will feature almost same specs as that of its upcoming predecessor Galaxy S8 except for the bigger display and battery capacity. According to the leaked specification list, Samsung Galaxy S8+ will support 4G-LTE for connectivity and Quad HD resolution 6.2″ display for full rectangle design and 6.1″ for a rounded corner design (which is a new).

For photography, it will have 12-megapixel ‘Dual-pixel’ main camera which captures amazing quality pictures and 8-megapixel front camera for the selfie. It will also be IP68 certified for water and dust resistant like its big brother Samsung Galaxy S8. As per chart, the handset will feature IRIS scanner which is one of the biggest advantages of Samsung Galaxy S8+. Evan Blass didn’t mention about the processor of Galaxy S8 Plus but for memory, it is said to come with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory which will be expandable via MicroSD card. In additional features, Samsung Galaxy S8+ is said to feature Samsung Pay, wireless charging support, Samsung Knox for security, and earphones tuned by AKG.

The S8+ smartphone is expected to run on latest Android Nougat OS.

We want to mention that it is not new that Samsung Galaxy S8+ rumors came into light. We also heard that Samsung Galaxy S8+ will get launch alongside the Galaxy S8 model but we can’t say anything sure about the launch date until the company makes it official. A few days back the Samsung Galaxy S8+ support page was made live on company’s Indian website with model number SM-G955FD.

We don’t want to be critical but including Iris scanner instead of Fingerprint sensor shows the over confidence of the company. But it looks like a long shot to us. Also for wireless charging feature, you will have to lighten your pocket more to buy a charging pad. Company chief Koh Dong-jin confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S8’s official launch date will be revealed at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 next week.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are expected to get the official launch in March and will start selling from April.
