How To Redirect Gmail to Inbox on a PC:

If you want to activate Inbox service on your web browser by default, you can turn on a setting so that you’ll automatically be taken to Inbox instead of gmail.com on your PC or desktop.

You can always get back to Gmail using a simple link in Inbox.

How to Turn redirect setting on or off

  1. Open Inbox on a computer.
  2. In the top left, go to the Main Menu.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and Select Settings.
  4. Click or unclick the box for Redirect Gmail to inbox.google.com.

When you type gmail.com or mail.google.com into your web browser on a computer, you’ll be taken to inbox.google.com instead.

How to Get back to Gmail From Inbox?

Once you’ve turned on the Inbox redirect option, you can always get back to Gmail using the link in Inbox:

  1. Open Inbox on a computer.
  2. In the top left, go to the Main Menu.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and Select Gmail.

This will open Gmail in a new tab in your web browser. You’ll still be taken to Inbox the next time you type gmail.com or mail.google.com into your web browser.

Of course, you can also turn the redirect setting off at any time if you like your Gmail interface more.
