World’s Cheapest Smartphone Announced In India By Namotel For $1.50: The latest most affordable smartphone has been launched by an unknown company named Namotel. They have announced this handset with the name ‘Namotel Acche Din’ and priced it at $1.50 or Rs. 99. According to the company’s promoter Madhava Reddy Nametol is ‘world’s cheapest smartphone’ priced at $1.50.

You might also remember the fracas created by $4 Freedom 251 smartphone and Docoss which were announced by another Indian company at a really cheap price. This new company is marketing Namotel Acche Din at insanely cheap price of Rs. 99, and naming it as India’s most affordable smartphone.

Accroding to the company’s promoter Madhava Reddy the ‘Namotel Acche Din(Good Days)’ runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating sysytem and powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor. Other main features include 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage which is sufficient to support basic usage. Also Namotel Acche Din is a 3G supportive handset and provide connectivity support through Wi-Fi. It also features a nominal battery of 1325 mAh capacity and the smartphone will be available in two color options i.e. White and Black.

At the announcement press conference, marketing incharge Madhava reddy said that the 3G enabled handset is available for booking form May 17, 2016 to May 25, 2016 on company’s official website namotel.com. But again this website doesn’t open like the Freedom 251’s website, raising the suspicion over the credibility of the offer given by Namotel. Or that might be due to the heavy rush such kind  of announcements cause.

According to the brand, originally the phone was priced at Rs. 2,999 but now it is available at an offer price of Rs. 99 and you have to pay the price only cash-on-delivery basis. As per details available, a nominal delivery charge will be levied during delivery.
