WhatsApp video calling feature spotted in new beta release !
WhatsApp video calling feature, which was under testing over a year is now live on a new beta release. WhatsApp beta 2.16.80 is readily downloadable from the mirror which has the voice and video calling features live on it. The cool feature is available for Android-based devices and will be rolling out to other platforms soon.
WhatsApp video calling feature: How it Works?
The new beta release gives access to the video calling from the call icon but is not functional yet. A click on the call button offers a choice for Audio and video call. When we try to place a video calling it greets us with a message saying “couldn’t place call. Video calling is unavailable at this time.”
However, the feature works well for the users in a few other countries. Gradually, it will be rolling out to other users around the globe through an invite-based system before releasing it widely across the smartphone platforms

WhatsApp video calling: Better or best?
WhatsApp video calling has been anticipated for quite a long . With active users close to 1 billion, the new release can prove revolutionary. Once it launches, the app could get a significant edge over its competitors like Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, Hangouts, Viber, KakaoTalks and the giant Skype too.
Now, all eyes would be on the performance of the WhatsApp video calling. The app is popular for its class quality on voice calling. It is believed that the video calling would be optimized to the same supreme quality too. Once fully functional, WhatsApp video calling will be supported on WhatsApp groups in the coming new beta releases.
