Google Pixel XL Specification and Price: The American company Google has released two new smartphones in October 2016 with the tagline ‘Made by Google.’ Google has now come up minus the Nexus moniker and has launched with Pixel. Called Pixel and Pixel XL, both these smartphones feature same design and hardware. What makes them different is these two gadgets come in the form of screen size and battery capacity. The new Pixel smartphones enable Google to follow Apple’s suit. HTC has manufactured both Pixel-branded smartphones, but the handset hardly gives any indication of it. Instead, the customer gets the new Google logo on it.

Google Pixel XL has a unibody design, with its body made from aluminum. The back panel consists of a mix of both glasses on the top and metal on the lower side. There is a 3.5mm audio port on the top, USB Type-C port at the bottom flanked by speaker grill. The SIM card slot is placed on the left panel.  The Google Pixel XL runs Android 7.1. It  is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM.

The Google Pixel XL shares a lot of specifications and features with the Pixel smartphone. The only difference lies in the 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display which too is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Another difference is the larger 3,450mAh battery which according to Google  is good for 26 hours of talk time and up to 456 hours on standby mode. Both devices feature a fingerprint scanner placed at the back of the device.

THE beautifully designed Google Pixel XL features a superb camera, an expansive display, and the robust Google Assistant.  It  packs a 12.3-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies  Google Pixel XL has more pure Android goodness on a bigger screen. The batteries on Pixel smartphones have Quick Charging support. As per Google’s claims only 15 minutes of charging can give the customer up to seven hours of battery life. Similar to the Nexus line up, the Pixel smartphones run on the latest Android Nougat, and they will be among the first to get updates. The smartphones come in three colors – quite black, very silver, and really blue.


In the US, Prices for the new Pixel smartphones start from $649. The Indian market can own the Google Pixel smartphones by spending Rs 57,000. To get the smartly designed gadgets, order them in advance. It begins from October 13, and they will be available in different stores like Reliance Digital and Vijay sales among others. Customers can easily get these smartphones online via Flipkart.
