A new dating app was creating a lot buzz and was being covered by many big media groups (in Fox News, Daily Mail, and The Hill). “Make America date again” is the slogan posted on the homepage of the website of this dating app. Donald Daters is aimed at the American single boys, girls, lovers, friends, and majorly Trump supporters. But on its launch day, the app leaked the entire user database.
As reported by Fox News on Monday, “users can chat for free when a match is mutual, block any potential liberals that troll them and Donald Daters is open to everyone.”
The app had more than 1,600 registered users on its day of launch. We came to know about this fact because Baptiste Robert, the security researcher had found the flaw in the apps security system and was able to download the whole of user the database. The leaked user data included biographical details such as name and profile photos, private messages and even the tokens for logging into user accounts.
According to the source, the data was easily accessible from the exposed Firebase data repository. After the leak was reported to Donald Daters developers has taken the user database offline but they have not made any comments on the data leak yet.
ON Donald Daters users can send private messages to other users only after the Tinder like matchmaking or after paying a monthly subscription fee of $29.99 or yearly subscription at $9.99/month. As experienced many users there are not many users online and they are regretting after buying the subscription to this dating app.
It is mentioned in the frequently asked question section that “All your personal information is kept private. We encourage safe online dating so please be sure not to share any private information on your profile before vetting anyone you may be interested in meeting in our community.” But still has happened.
