Google Pixel 2 Caught Running Android Q On Geekbench
Geekbench listing showed up yesterday with Google Pixel 2 running Android Q. As you may have already guessed Android Q is going to be the next Android version. Around the same time, XDA Developers Editor-in-Chief Mishaal Rahman spotted a template explaining how a user can file bug reports about Android Q Beta. After which huge amount of rumours started coming in that Android Q developers’ preview may get released today. Below is the screenshot of the Geekbench listing:
Now you may be thinking it doesn’t say Google Pixel 2 anywhere on the sheet. But if you have been following the Pixel 2 closely since the announcement then you should know the Google Pixel 2 is called “walleye”. Also, the above-mentioned rumours of the Android Q Developer Preview launch went in vain but now it looks like the Preview will show up this year’s Google I/O Conference which is scheduled on May 7.
Till now we don’t have many details about the features the Android Q will bring up but it is known to be coming with Desktop Mode and system-wide Dark Mode. But still, we have to wait until getting our hand-on the actual operating system.
