Did you face issues with your Gmail or your Gmail app crashed today? It may have happened due to the outage happened with several google services on Wednesday. Many Google users reported problems in accessing Gmail and other Google services (Google Maps and Google Drive) as reported by The Guardian.

As of now, Google is aware of the disruption and they are investigating the issue. A message was posted on Google’s GSuite Status Dashboard saying Gmail is experiencing a “service disruption.”

“We will provide more information shortly. The affected users are able to access Gmail, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behaviour,” Google also posted a message on its service website.

More than 2000 outages have been reported in just a few minutes as per data from Downdetector. Users from the US, Australia, Europe and Asia reported these issues with Gmail Google Drive and Google maps.

Most common error message faced by users: “Message could not be sent. Check your network and try again”.

Fortunately, only a small number of users faced today’s outage and that too for a short period. A long Gmail outage happened in 2016 which badly affected millions of users and businesses in the USA, UK and New Zealand.
