Not having tried all email clients, I cannot say which one is ‘the best’, but I have been using Thunderbird for many years now and it does more than satisfy all my needs, in combination with some add-ons, in particular Lightning, MailMerge and EnigMail. Before I used Sylpheed and later Claws Mail, but they lag in functionality.
